The Choice of Love, Wealth, and Success
Today I am going to express my feelings with the famous story of Love, Success and Wealth. This narrative should serve as a warning to all of us not to live in this materialistic society as slaves to money and success.
The Humble Couple and Three Strangers
In a quaint and peaceful village, there lived a modest couple who led a simple life. One day, they noticed three elderly men seated outside their home. The strangers appeared tired and weary, having been there for quite some time. Moved by compassion, the wife decided to approach them. With a warm smile, she greeted them and said, “We don’t know who you are, but you seem tired from sitting here for so long. My husband and I would love to invite you inside for a meal.”
The Strange Response
The three old men exchanged knowing glances and smiled gently at her. One of them spoke up, “Thank you for your kind offer, but we cannot all enter your house together.”
Surprised by his response, the woman asked, “Why is that?”
The Three Guests: Wealth, Success, and Love
The first man pointed to the second and said, “His name is Wealth. If he enters your home, it will be filled with riches and abundance.” He then gestured toward the third and said, “This man is Success. If he steps inside, your household will experience success in all your endeavors.” Finally, the man pointed to himself and added, “I am Love. If I enter your home, it will be filled with warmth and affection.”
The woman was amazed by their explanation. Intrigued by the choices, she excused herself and hurried back to discuss the matter with her husband.
The Couple’s Dilemma: Wealth, Success, or Love?
Excited by what his wife had just told him, the husband immediately said, “Let’s invite Wealth! Think of all the luxuries and comfort we will have with riches in our home!”
However, his wife, after reflecting on the matter, had a different idea. “Why don’t we invite Success?” she suggested. “With success, we can accomplish anything we desire, and the rest will follow.”
The couple discussed the choices at length, debating between the allure of Wealth and the endless possibilities of Success. Yet, after a thoughtful pause, the wife realized that their home could benefit from something even greater.
The Final Decision: Choosing Love
After coming to a conclusion, the wife returned outside to the elderly men and asked, “Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest.”
To her surprise, as Love stood up to enter the house, both Wealth and Success rose and began to follow him. Startled, the woman turned and asked, “I thought only one of you could enter? Why are all of you coming in?”
The Wisdom of Love: A Greater Blessing
With a warm smile, the old man named Love explained, “If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two would have remained outside. But since you chose Love, wherever Love goes, Wealth and Success follow. In any place where Love resides, abundance and success will naturally come as well.”

From that day forward, the couple’s home was filled with the warmth and affection that Love brought with him. As promised, Wealth and Success also found their way into their lives, enriching them in ways they had never imagined. The couple learned a valuable lesson: where there is love, everything else falls into place. Their lives flourished with happiness, prosperity, and endless success, all rooted in the power of love.
